RIVIÈRE-DU-LOUP, Que.—Quebec-based manufacturing group Premier Tech is expanding its European footprint with the acquisition of a Dutch company that specializes in steel and stainless steel components.
The Canadian company, which operates across several industries, including the industrial, agriculture and water segments, said March 13 it has agreed to acquire Swabo Machinebouw & Toelevering for an undisclosed price.
Premier Tech said the Netherlands-based firm employs about 70 workers and serves a range of OEMs.
The deal will bolster the Quebec company’s Industrial Equipment Group by adding another business to its mechanical manufacturing supply chain.
Following the acquisition Premier Tech will employ about 4,200 workers across 25 countries.
