Quebec-based Premier Tech acquires Alabama’s vonGAL

Acquisition marks firm's second manufacturing plant in U.S., fifth in North America for its Industrial Equipment Group
Riviere-du-Loup, Que.—Material handling firm Premier Tech has acquired Alabama-based vonGAL Corporation.
Located in Montgomery, Ala., vonGAL manufactures and markets high-performance rigid packaging palletizing solutions, according to Premier Tech.
With the acquisition, Premier Tech’s Industrial Equipment Group (IEG) will add vonGAL’s 80 employees to its team of 500, it was announced.
The transaction also strengthens IEG’s position as a North American leader in the field of rigid packaging.
This second manufacturing facility in the U.S. adds to the existing four plants IEG has in North America.
vonGal specializes in material handling through systems solutions and software.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
