MIDLAND, Ont.—Weber Manufacturing Technologies is adding capacity to its production plant in Midland, Ont.
The company, which makes molds for the automotive and aerospace industries, as well as certain home building products, expects overall project costs to total approximately $7.9 million.
The expansion will boost Weber’s capacity by about 30 per cent and help it increase its exports. The upgrades will also create 17 new jobs at the facility just north of Barrie, Ont.
The Ontario government is bankrolling one-tenth of project costs through a Southwestern Ontario Development Fund investment, while the company will pay the remaining 90 per cent.
