
Micro net acquires Beijer fleet management division

After the acquisition, Micronet says it will have a total installed base of 700,000 units
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah—Mobile data terminal manufacturer Micronet Ltd. ahs agreed to acquire the mobile resource management/fleet management business division of Isreal-based Beijer Electronics Inc.
The deal is expected to close by mid-June.
Micronet is purchasing Beijer’s production facilities, as well as all related intellectual property, product rights, customer base, sales and marketing network, and technical support.
Beijer MRM/FM division employees will join Micronet.
After the acquisition, Micronet says it will have a total installed base of 700,000 units.
Salt Lake City will operate as Micronet’s base for sales, production and support organizations, while R&D, product development and support facilities will continue to operate in Israel.
