BARRIE — MediPharm Labs Corp. has expanded its wellness product line to include CBG and water-soluble products.

The company will make the new products available in Ontario in both retail stores and on the OCS.ca e-commerce website. MediPharm also has purchase commitments to distribute the products to the company’s other seven provincial distributors in the coming months.

“With recent investments in sales and marketing functions demonstrating tangible results, our team will continue to bring differentiated wellness-focused products to market, and work to grow shelf presence as the year progresses,” said Bryan Howcroft CEO of MediPharm in a statement, adding that the company also sees a meaningful opportunity to introduce products into international markets.

Below are some of the company’s latest products and details.

The MediPharm Labs CBG:CBD 1:2 Advanced Formula oral solution is a high-CBG formulation and has a subtle cannabis flavour.

Northbound CBG:CBD The White and Appalachia vape cartridge is made with a terpene blend with citrus zest and berry aromatics and some mild herbal notes.

MediPharm also says that CBG is one of the rarer cannabinoids and has demonstrated some potential as an antibiotic. A team of McMaster researchers reportedly found that CBG was not only antibacterial, but it was also effective in mice against a resilient family of bacteria known as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.

The company is also launching a water soluble CBN:THC liquid solution, Northbound Night Cap. Northbound Night Cap applies water-soluble emulsification technology. This formulation allows patients and consumers to add CBN to their favourite food or beverage without overpowering taste and liquid separation.
