Manitoba hiring in record numbers says Mediacorp Canadian Inc.

According to the most recent Labour Force Survey from Statistics Canada, Manitoba has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country while enduring labour shortages across different sectors. 

WINNIPEG — Mediacorp Canadian Inc. says that Manitoba is the best place for job seekers to be as the province continues to hire talent in “record numbers” according to a statement.

Every year Mediacorp Inc. organizes the Canada’s top 100 Employers project and has listed some of the best employers in Manitoba for 2022.

“Manitoba is fortunate to have a diversified base of employers,” said Kristina Leung, senior editor of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project in a statement.

“This helped the province during the pandemic and today we can see that Manitoba employers are poised for growth.”

According to the most recent Labour Force Survey from Statistics Canada, Manitoba has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country while enduring labour shortages across different sectors.

“The pandemic accelerated changes in the economy that had started to take place,” said Anthony Meehan, publisher at Mediacorp in a statement.

“From technology to financial services and agribusiness, manufacturing to higher education and healthcare, Manitoba has world-class employers that are well-positioned to benefit from these changes. Customers far beyond its borders are buying what Manitoba has to offer – and this has created unprecedented opportunities for job-seekers.”

Editors at MediaCorp noted certain companies for the ways in which they support their employees and programs to support charities and the communities in which they operate.

Canada Life, Arctic Co-operatives and Wawanesa Insurance were among those mentioned in MediaCorp’s statement.
