TORONTO — Li-Cycle Holdings Corp, a company involved in lithium-ion battery resource recovery and recycling in North America, has entered into a new multi-year partnership with the DS TECHEETAH Formula E team.

Since 2014, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship has raced some of the world’s most advanced electric vehicles (EVs). Powered by fully electric power trains on city street circuits, this sport promotes the adoption of sustainable mobility in city centres in a bid to combat air pollution and lessen the effects of climate change.

This partnership aims to grow Li-Cycle’s commitment to contributing to a circular economy and advancing technologies that are critical to sustainable global electrification.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Formula E champions DS TECHEETAH as we reinforce our position as a global leader in the EV battery recycling industry,” said Kunal Phalpher, Li-Cycle’s Chief Strategy Officer. “Our collaboration will help us share our story about the importance of recovering valuable, finite resources from end-of-life batteries and bring them back to the beginning of the EV battery supply chain.”
