Global pump award program aims to recognize excellence in maintenance, service and efficiency

Seneca Falls, NY—ITT Goulds Pumps is gearing up for its second annual Pump Appreciation Day on April 9. The global event includes an award program recognizing manufacturing plants and companies using pump technology to boost shop floor efficiency.

Nominations for the awards closed in March, with past winners including Canadian Natural Resources Inc., Unilever and Toronto-based Redpath Sugar Ltd.

Companies can be nominated for the award by ITT Goulds sales and distribution partners.

But the day—marked by local events around the world—also includes an honour roll, open to nominations from anyone in the pump industry. The honour roll commends co-workers for exceptional work in pump operations.

“Pumps function as the heart of the industry and it’s a pleasure…to honour the talented people and organizations that keep pumps running smoothly and efficiently,” said Robert Pagao, president of the ITT industrial process business, including Goulds Pumps.

The awards and honour roll criteria include:

• improving pump efficiency;
• outstanding maintenance;
• solving engineering or manufacturing challenges;
• exceeding expectation to keep pumps running;
• providing high-quality customer service;

Nominees and honorees will be notified by email and announced on the Pump Appreciation Day web site following the April event.
