Hydro One sends crews south to assist in storm-battered states

Toronto—Some 600 Ontario hydro are being dispatched to Washington, D.C., and surrounding areas in a bid to restore power to an estimated three million people in the storm-ravaged region.
Hydro One announced its sending three crews of approximately 200 employees each to work with local utility providers in the U.S. Capitol and Baltimore, Va., after massive storms swept through the area.
With a record-breaking heat wave expected to hit the area—along with much of the eastern United States—power is needed back online to deal with soaring temperatures.
Hydro One has reciprocal agreements in place with North American utility firms to provide assistance during significant power outages.
