Frank And Oak launches sustainable underwear for women

The company also says it plans to continue applying its philosophy of sustainability and eco-friendliness to its product packaging, tote bags, stores and offices.
MONTREAL — Frank And Oak has introduced the organic cotton high waisted panty to its line of women’s apparel.
Their latest piece is made from 95 per cent organic cotton and 5 per cent Spandex for elasticity.
The company says it designed the panties for adequate coverage and to help comfortably fit and accentuate different body shapes. At the leg and waist openings, there is an elastic finish that hugs the skin for a snug fit.
The fabric has reportedly been manufactured with antibacterial properties to help the hygiene offered by the innerwear.
The company claims that like many of its other products, the high waisted panties are made from organic cotton that is responsibly grown and harvested using sustainable methods.
“This dedication to sustainability and the environment is an integral part of our origin story. As entrepreneurs with a desire to do good, we formulated a plan to create a fashion brand that was forward-thinking and fixed the problems that we felt were most prominent amongst the biggest players operating in the industry at that time,” reads a statement from Frank And Oak.
The company also says it plans to continue applying its philosophy of sustainability and eco-friendliness to its product packaging, tote bags, stores and offices. For example, all of their kraft boxes and mailers are made entirely from recycled paper.
Also, their compostable polybags are made with a biodegradable polymer that allows microorganisms present in landfills to break them down.
