Electrovaya lands $1M battery order during UAE trade mission

TORONTO—Electrovaya Inc. has received a US$1 million-order purchase order from an unnamed OEM in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The order for a high-value application of strategic portable power systems is lithium battery maker Electrovaya’s first order from the Middle East, and the firm anticipates orders for larger quantities of portable power systems will stem from this current contract.
The Electrovaya system will consist of its next generation 2.0 cells along with its latest mechanical and electrical technology and Battery Management System (BMS). The delivery of this initial order will be completed in about 10 weeks.
The announcement came during a mission led by Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC), a not-for-profit foundation that finances and supports the development and demonstration of clean technologies in Canada.
Electrovaya Inc. designs, develops and manufactures proprietary Lithium Ion batteries, battery systems, and battery-related products for the clean electric transportation, utility-scale energy storage and smart grid power, consumer and healthcare markets.
