TORONTO — After thousands of requests, Bud Light Canada has announced the arrival of the Bud Light Seltzer. As an extension of the brand’s portfolio, Bud Light Seltzer offers a full fruit taste with 1 gram of sugar and only 80 calories.

Bud Light Seltzer is available nationwide Apr. 9th in four flavours; Black Cherry, Lemon Lime, Mango, and Strawberry.

Alongside the new product, the brand is introducing a new character as part of their advertising who will, quite literally, come to life ahead of the official launch. Seltzy, a life-sized can of Bud Light Black Cherry Seltzer, will be arriving in Canada today from the U.S and as required will be heading to downtown Toronto to quarantine for the mandated 14 days, in a glass box located on top of the 49 Spadina Avenue LCBO.

“We’re incredibly excited about the arrival of Bud Light Seltzer in Canada, especially after receiving so much consumer interest. In response, we created Seltzy as a really engaging way to introduce the newest hard seltzer to Canadian consumers,” said Mike D’Agostini, Sr. Director of Marketing, Bud Light, in a prepared statement. “Having Seltzy quarantine and keep themselves entertained during that 14-day period felt like a really relatable way for Canadians to get to know the newest member of the Bud Light fam.”

Seltzy will be keeping busy during quarantine by entertaining Canadians in nearby buildings who are lucky enough to have a view of the LCBO rooftop, and sharing their activities on Bud Light Canada’s social channels (@budlightliving) throughout the 14 days.

Bud light Seltzer will be available at liquor stores nationwide starting April 9th.
