Brandt buys Atlantic coast John Deere dealer Wallace Equipment

The deal gives Brandt 27 branches reaching from coast to coast

REGINA—Brandt Tractor, a division of Regina-based diversified manufacturer and services provider the Brandt Group of Companies, has purchased Wallace Equipment Ltd., a John Deere Construction and Forestry dealer.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The deal for Wallace—which operates branches in Fredericton, Moncton, N.B., Bathurst, N.S., Halifax, and Sydney, N.S.—gives Brandt 27 branches reaching from coast to coast and marks its first foray into Atlantic Canada.

“Building on Wallace’s 20-year history, our plan is to invest in product support initiatives to better support customer needs. We’ll do whatever it takes to help grow our customer’s productivity and profitability by raising their uptime and lowering their operating costs,” says Shaun Semple, Brandt Tractor president.

Effective July 2, 2013, the Wallace Equipment Ltd. name changes to Brandt Tractor Ltd.
