Become one of British Columbia’s Top 25 Exporters

Deadline for entries to the BC Export Awards is approaching.

The BC Export Awards recognize the innovative approaches and unique contributions of British Columbia export companies across all sectors and in all regions of the province, as well as the individuals who contribute to their success.

The Awards provide a platform for municipalities, professional services companies, sponsors and media to support exporters in their local communities through nomination and local recognition.

Exporter of the Year is awarded to one of the sector award winners.

Applications can be submitted in nine sector award categories plus two individual awards—the Leadership Award and the International Business Studies Award.

Who can win?

• New Exporters: Companies that have made initial entry into an export market, achieved notable success, and started exporting within the last three years.

• Sustainability: Companies that export and have shown leadership in integrating the economic, social and environmental dimensions of sustainability into their internal management practices and that promote the principles of sustainability.

• Professional Services: Companies that provide expert advice, technical support or educational programs to international customers.

• Manufactured Products: Companies that have built an innovative system or value-added components, machinery or equipment for industrial and commercial use.

• Natural Resources: Companies that are engaged in marketing, processing and primary production of natural resources.

• Advancing Technology & Innovation: Companies that have effectively harnessed the powers of intellectual property and value-added know-how.

• Consumer Products: Companies or organizations that specialize in and export end products for direct-to-consumer or retail markets

• Digital Media & Entertainment: Companies that have successfully promoted and exported products and services for the digital media or entertainment industry.

Premier’s Award for Job Creation

The winner of this year’s Premier’s Award for Job Creation will be a company which, through financial investment, created expansion and new opportunities for sustained employment. These opportunities need to be sustained for at least twelve months and the majority of investment of funds should not have been obtained from government grants or have been created through acquisition of an existing business.
