VANCOUVER—MicroCoal International Inc., a subsidiary of Vancouver-based green-energy investment firm Carbon Friendly Solutions Inc., has signed a Letter of Intent with an Indonesian engineering group to build a patented coal-conversion unit.

PT Citicon Energy (CEN) wants a commercial MicroCoal unit for their PT Wijaya Tri Utama power plant facility in Banjarmasin, the capital of South Kalimantan, Indonesia.

Carbon Friendly says its Microcoal technology decontaminates and upgrades low-grade coal to deliver similar energy output and emissions as higher grade coal.
