
Bauer buys lacrosse equipment maker Cascade in $64-million deal

Toronto—Sports equipment maker Bauer Performance Sports, Ltd., has acquired lacrosse equipment manufacturer Cascade Helmets in a deal worth approximately $64-million.
Bauer entered into an agreement to acquire the Liverpool, N.Y.-based company June 13.
Cascade was founded in 1986 by Bill Brine, whose family founded lacrosse, soccer, volleyball and field hockey equipment maker Brine in the 1920s.
Brine was bought by New Balance in 2006.
