Expansion project to create 16 new jobs, grow company's market share in fabrication and machining sectors
PORT COLBORNE, Ont.—Ontario manufacturer and industrial service firm Allied Marine & Industrial Inc. is opening a new plant on the shores of Lake Erie.
With the help of a $462,874 contribution from the Ontario government, the company is planning to relocate its tooling, machining, fabrication and assembly operations to a new facility in Port Colborne, Ont.
Representing $4.6 million in total investment, the project will allow the company to meet growing market demand in the fabrication and machining sectors by buying new equipment.
