The southern Ontario company donated 2000 surgical masks and 38 large cases of sanitizer

TORONTO – Hospitals across Ontario are in pressing need for personal protective equipment. Grasshopper Energy has provided a generous donation of 2000 surgical procedure masks, and 38 large cases of sanitizers to Mackenzie Health.

“We’re so thankful for the outpouring of support we’ve seen for health care workers at Mackenzie Health during this pandemic,” said Altaf Stationwala, President and CEO of Mackenzie Health in a prepared statement. “Donations like this one will help protect them as they do their utmost to keep our community safe.”

“We have an obligation to make every effort to help our healthcare workers”, said Azeem M. Qureshi, founder and CEO of Grasshopper Energy in a statement. “Our healthcare workers are on the frontlines saving lives and protecting our community every day. We will continue to support them in any way we can.”

“I want to thank Grasshopper Energy for their donation of PPE to our local healthcare heroes,” said Vaughan Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua. “This organization has demonstrated the spirit of generosity that thrives here in Vaughan. By continuing to work together, we will emerge stronger.”
