MONTREAL — On April 17, Mondelēz Canada – a manufacturer that produces Oreo, Cadbury Dairy Milk and Toblerone – announced it is donating over $650,000 worth of food donations to Moisson Montreal, as part of its $1 million worth of cash and in-kind donations to support its community partners in Canada during COVID-19.

Community partners include Foods Banks of Canada, Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada and United Way Centraide.

“As one of Canada’s largest food manufacturers we have an important role to play in helping those in our local communities who are hit hardest by COVID-19,” said Martin Parent, president of Mondelēz Canada, in a prepared statement. “As a Montreal resident, I am proud that we can support our local food bank to help provide food security, and bring a little joy to the people who need it most across the City.”

“Moisson Montréal is currently benefiting from an exceptional wave of solidarity from food donors,” said Richard D. Daneau, general manager, Moisson Montréal. “In this crisis period, this donation of chocolate and candies will bring energy and comfort to Montrealers in this challenging situation.”
