On May 8, ventureLAB announced that Melissa Chee will step down as its President and CEO, following the successful completion of her current five-year term on June 30, 2023.

Melissa Chee sat down with Canadian Manufacturing to talk about her tenure, the work that has been done at ventureLAB, and what’s next for her and the organization, as it focuses on scaling up and helping semiconductor businesses succeed in Canada.

In the interview, Melissa focuses on what she believes to be the core wins at ventureLAB over her tenure, namely, creating a results-focused culture, and being a pioneer in securing world-class diverse and inclusive talent and start-ups.
