An Ont. booth could be spotted across the trade show floor, showcasing Cdn. SMEs hoping to do business with manufacturers with automation needs.

Automate 2024 was well attended by Canadian manufacturers of all size and stripes. Our team was at the scene to break down some of the key players, as well as themes concerning them at the event, detailed in the video below:

More than 40,000 attendees were involved in the successful event over four days in mid-May, and our coverage will continue, highlighting some key Canadian and American players who were asked what they were hoping to get out of the week.

This year, a larger cadre of booths could be spotted highlighting vision technology and LiDAR innovations, with many tech companies exploring ways to read and sense script on fast-moving conveyor belts, or helping robots navigate manufacturing floors with sensors. Attendees mentioned a noticeable jump in the number of companies advertising camera technologies.
