CGI wins five-year, US$19.6M U.S. Marine contract

Company to provide Marine Corps' Blount Island Command with logistics, software and operational services

FAIRFAX, Va—Montreal-based CGI Group Inc. has secured a US$19.6 million contract with the U.S. Marine Corps’ Blount Island Command in Jacksonville, Fla.

Under the agreement, the information technology company will provide worldwide logistics services, software systems support and operational logistics support to the Marine Corps. The timeline for the contract is one base year, as well as four option years.

“Managing logistics at Blount Island Command is an enormous mission CGI is proud to support with the type of advanced technology capabilities needed to meet the Command’s logistical challenges,” Patrick Dougherty, the company’s senior vice-president for U.S. Defense Programs, said.

The contract is a recompete win for the Montreal-based firm, which has supported Blount Island since 1992.
