Onex to acquire packaging graphics firm SGS International for $813M

TORONTO—Onex Corp. has agreed to acquire Kentucky-based packaging graphics firm SGS International, Inc., a a deal worth approximately $813-million.

Based in Louisville, Ky., SGS is a vertically-integrated provider of packaging graphics services to branded consumer products companies, retailers and the printers that service them.

According to Onex, SGS employs over 2,400, with 37 production facilities and approximately 100 customer locations across 14 countries.

For the twelve months ended June 30, 2012, SGS generated approximately $390-million in revenues, Onex announced.
