RICHMOND, B.C.—MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. has locked in an agreement to continue to support robotic work on the International Space Station.

Awarded through the Canadian Space Agency, the $5.3 million contract amendment will translate to further funding for the Mobile Servicing System, which handles a range of tasks—from general maintenance to resupply—on the orbiting space station. The system includes the second iteration of the Canadarm, as well as the Special Purpose Dextrous Manipulator, better known as Dextre.

MDA did not release any of the finer points of the agreement.
