CAE gets contract worth $215M for training equipment, services

Military contracts had total value of $130-million; commercial deals worth $85-million

MONTREAL—CAE Inc. announced several new military and commercial contracts valued at a total of $215-million.

One of the military contracts awarded to the Montreal-based company was for construction of a training facility for the Kuwait air force.

Others were for training simulators for the Australian navy and U.S. air force.

The commercial sales included five full-flight simulators and other training devices for airlines and aircraft manufacturers in Asia, Australasia, North America and Europe.

CAE didn’t identify the airlines or provide a breakdown of the individual civil contracts but said the total value of those deals was $85-million.

The military contracts had a total value of $130-million, although few individual financial details were announced.
