Conair’s new multipass cooling tank and related technologies were designed to reduce wall-thickness tolerances.
Systems are available for extrusion of medical tubing and non-medical products such as aquarium, small-gauge irrigation and pneumatic airway tubing.
The tank has new OD, ID, and wall-control algorithms, tension-control devices, and precision puller technology. It uses a combination of vacuum/multi-pass tank technology.
Other features include:
- Oversized driven roller at the end of the tank
- Precision glass bearings on non-driven rollers
- Load cell to measure tension on the tubing
- Two gauging units
