Recall affects over 300,000 pounds of frozen, ready-to-eat beef and poultry products.
Listeria
According to the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, Buona Vita Inc., a Bridgeton, NJ-based producer and packager of chicken and beef products, has recalled 324,770 pounds of frozen, ready-to-eat beef and chicken products due to possible Listeria bacteria contamination (photo above).
The affected brands include: Silver Lake Brand, Argentina Pride, Dirusso, Buona Vita, Mama Isabella, Whorle’s, Monabella, Napoli, Bullpen, Orefresco, Buonomici, Cupino, Vincent Giordano, Whitson Food Service and M&R Frosted Food Co.
Distributed nationwide throughout the U.S., the products were produced on May 3, 4, 7, 8 and 9th, 2012 and have the case code of “1242′, ’1252′, ’1282′, ’1292′ ‘or ’1302′ on the packaging.
The food packages also have the establishment number ‘P-954′ of ‘Est.954′ within the USDA inspection mark
No illnesses have been reported at this time.
