Presented by PAC—The Packaging Association and Xerox, a pair of seminars will be held on February 28, 2013 at the Xerox Workshop which will also feature a morning Xerox Research Centre of Canada (XRCC) tour for those who sign up one of the sessions.
The XRCC (see photo) is Xerox’s Mississauga, Ont.-based strategic materials research center, enabling the flow of leading-edge imaging materials from research concepts to supplies and consumables solutions.
The workshop will examine marketing trends and packaging innovation focusing on the digital packaging industry, which is expected to have a compound annual growth rate of 15.7 per cent between 2009 and 2014.
What’s driving this growth?
There are several factors, including demand for innovative ways to differentiate products, short run packaging to support inventory and cost management, as well as regional, local and low-volume products.
How is it achieved? Well, ideal digitally printed packaging applications include: personalized promotional tools, product samples, short run, pharmaceutical and private label foods.
For an in-depth look at the digital packaging industry, sign up for this event, which will feature:
- Barbara Pellow, group director of InfoTrends discussing The Digital Impact on Packaging Industry;
- Dr. Paul Smith, vice-president of the Xerox Innovation Group (XRCC) discussing The Future of Folding Carton Packaging;
