Local radio station reports three buildings at Premium Seafoods appear to have been destroyed

ARICHAT, N.S.—Authorities say a fire broke out at a seafood operation in Arichat, N.S., in the early morning hours of Aug. 23.

RCMP says it received a call about the blaze shortly after 1 a.m.

CIGO radio reports that three buildings at Premium Seafoods appear to have been destroyed but nearby homes were saved by firefighters.

There are no reports of any injuries.

Fire crews from four local communities were involved in fighting the blaze.

The Isle Madame fire department could not be reached for comment.
