Pallet maker H&H Wood Products invests $2.1M to upgrade Ontario plant

WHEATLEY, Ont.—An Ontario company that makes wooden pallets, spools, racks and other containers is scaling up its plant just east of Leamington, Ont. with a $2.1 million expansion project.

H&H Wood Products Inc., which supplies the food, automotive and agriculture industries, plans to buy and install new equipment at its Wheatley, Ont. facility. The project is expected to help boost the site’s capacity, bring in new customers and create 13 new jobs in the Ontario town on Lake Erie.

The Ontario government has committed $195,300 to the project, while the company will invest just shy of $2 million.

H&H Wood expects to complete the expansion by the end of 2020.
