Names myriad scandals dogging the Liberals as the main reason for the move which could force election by June
TORONTO—Ontario NDP leader Andrea Horwath will not support the Ontario budget, and came out firing against Kathleen Wynne’s liberal party, naming myriad scandals dogging the Liberals as the main reason for the move.
“We do not support this government any longer,” said Horwath. “Let me be clear, we will vote against this government.”
“The budget is full of all kinds of lofty plans and huge infrastructure spending,” said Horwath, who questions how a government with the history of questionable decisions leading “one scandal after another” and the “continuous cover-up of information” can continue to lead.
The Progressive Conservatives have long vowed to vote against the budget and can defeat the government with the support of the NDP.
