Super-Pufft investment will create 34 jobs as company doubles capacity
MISSISSAUGA, Ont.—Snack maker, Super-Pufft Snack Corp. is getting a $1 million boost from the Ontario government’s Food and Beverage Growth Fund.
The investment will help the company invest in a new canister crisp line, creating 34 new jobs and retaining more than 300 others.
“Super-Pufft is another great example of an innovative Ontario company exporting its products globally, creating economic opportunities across our province,” Brad Duguid, Ontario’s Minister of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure, said. “Our government will continue to strategically partner with various sectors to help facilitate a strong, competitive business climate that spurs investment and job creation.”
The new, nearly $9 million line will allow the company to double its production capacity and build on its strong export credentials. The company expects 90 per cent of the new products will reach customers abroad. Belgium, Mongolia and Israel are among the company’s top export markets.
