Unidentified client to keep aerospace supplier's facilities active through 2023

LONGUEUIL, Que—Aerospace manufacturer, Héroux-Devtek Inc., has secured a five-year contract extension from an unidentified customer that will provide a major boost to the company’s plants in Kitchener, Ont. and Laval, Que.

The deal is an extension of a preferred supplier agreement with a “leading aerospace systems manufacturer” and is valued at as much as $100 million.

“Héroux-Devtek is excited to further extend this important agreement which underlines its longstanding relationship with one of the world’s leading aerospace companies,” Martin Brassard, vice-president and CEO of Héroux-Devtek, said.

“Reflecting a commitment to constantly invest in ultra-modern and highly-automated equipment, Héroux-Devtek has established a solid reputation as a world-class provider of high-quality, value-added landing gear components to leading global aerospace companies. We are looking forward to continue our partnership with this important customer and to jointly benefit from the strong order books for these important programs,” he added.

Accompanied by orders to manufacture landing gear components for three large commercial aircraft programs, the deal will bolster the company’s production in Ontario and Quebec.

The Quebec-based landing gear supplier said the five-year agreement will span 2018 to 2023.
