Héroux-Devtek teams with U.S. firm to offer SAAB aircraft MRO servcies

The alliance with C&L Aviation Group will offer expanded maintenance for the Saab 340 30-seat aircraft
LONGUEUIL, Que—Héroux-Devtek UK, a subsidiary of aerospace products manufacturer Héroux-Devtek Inc. has entered into a strategic alliance with C&L Aviation Group in Bangor, Maine.
The partnership will improve the global maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services and support available to operators of all variants of the Saab 340 aircraft family.
This new alliance will combine Héroux-Devtek’s expertise as a landing gear designer and manufacturer with C&L’s operator and aircraft service provider capability and knowledge, while providing the Heroux-Devtek with increased exposure to the attractive aftermarket business.
The Saab 340 aircraft remains the most attractive option in the 30-seat class with no new aircraft available to replace it. More than 450 aircraft were built between 1983 and 1999.
Longueuil, Que.-based Héroux-Devtek Inc. is an international company that designs, develops, manufactures and conducts repair and overhaul of landing gear and actuation systems and components for the Aerospace market. Approximately 75 per cent of the corporation’s sales are outside Canada, including 50 per cent in the U.S.
