ATP makes and distributes energy-efficient vertical turbine and submersible pumps for agricultural, municipal and industrial markets.

MANSFIELD, Ohio—The National Pump Co., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gorman-Rupp Co., has reached an agreement in principle to purchase American Turbine Pump Co.’s (ATP).

Terms of the agreement are undisclosed.

ATP is a group of companies that manufacture and distribute energy-efficient vertical turbine and submersible pumps for agricultural, municipal and industrial markets. It is headquartered in Lubbock, Texas, with two other locations in Houston, Texas and Fresno, California.

During 2011, ATP had approximately $15 million in revenue. Deal is expected to be completed in December 2012.
Gorman-Rupp has Canadian operations based in St. Thomas, Ont.
