Bio Biscuit to install fifth packaging line, boost production and exports
SAINT-HYACINTHE, Que.—The federal government is investing $750,000 in Montreal-area pet food firm Bio Biscuit Inc.
The company, which makes dog biscuits and other oven-baked dry dog and cat foods, will use the funding to install a new packaging line and increase its capacity.
“With this money, the enterprise is going to set up a fifth fully automated packing line and stay competitive for the global development of our dog and cat food brand,” Pierre Lemieux, the company’s president, said.
Founded in 1996, Bio Biscuit began exporting three years later and now ships product to 15 countries.
The funding was made available through the Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED).
