MAUMEE, Ohio—Dana Holding Corp. has been named the standard and exclusive supplier of steer axles, drive axles, and driveshafts on the new International TerraStar 4×4 medium-duty truck.

The TerraStar uses Dana’s Spicer Model 273 front drive steer axle, which has a 42 degree turn angle, a gross axle weight rating (GAWR) of 8,000 lbs., and popular axle ratios.

The Spicer S110 single reduction, single rear drive axle on the TerraStar has a GAWR rating of 14,000 lbs. and a maximum gross combined weight rating of 35,000 lbs.

Driveshafts are a mix of SPL 55 and SPL 100 permanently lubricated, sealed spline shafts that are precision balanced to reduce noise, vibration and harshness.

Dana is a global supplier of driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies for passenger, commercial, and off-highway vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. It employs 23,000 people in 26 countries and posted 2012 sales of $7.2 billion.
