CGI Group lands US$871-million U.S. defence contract

MONTREAL—CGI Group Inc. signed a five-year contract worth up to US$871 million to provide engineering, scientific, testing and logistics services to the U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency.
The company’s U.S. subsidiary CGI Federal Inc. will handle the work.
The Defense Information Systems Agency provides information technology services for the U.S. military.
Meanwhile, CGI also announced the successful implementation of Los Angeles County’s new human resources management system, replacing a 22-year-old system.
The CGI system helps manage a US$24 billion budget, purchases, master agreements, grants and payroll for more than 100,000 employees.
