Business Information Group acquires industrial trade publications from Rogers

Toronto—Canadian Manufacturing.com (CMO), Canada’s only source of daily industrial, trade and business news, is on the move.

Business Information Group (BIG), a leading operator of Canadian trade magazines and industry-focused web sites, has acquired the Industrial Group of trade publications and directories from Rogers Publishing Ltd.

The deal includes Canadian Manufacturing.com and its partner magazines and online channels for Canadian Metalworking, Canadian Packaging, Canadian PLANT & PLANT West, Design Engineering, Food in Canada, MM&D, Plastics in Canada, Purchasingb2b, and the FRASERS Industrial Directory.

The relocation to BIG’s Toronto offices is underway and the move has our editorial and sales teams poised to take advantage of the nimble and entrepreneurial business culture at BIG. We will continue to cover up-to-the-minute developments in the Canadian manufacturing industry while uncovering new opportunities made possible by the deal.
