Bombardier Aerospace has firm orders from an unnamed customer for three Challenger and three Global business jets.
MONTREAL—Bombardier Aerospace has firm orders from an unnamed customer for three Challenger and three Global business jets.
The approximate value of the contract for the six planes would be US$255 million.
“This order reaffirms the appeal of Bombardier’s diverse business aircraft portfolio,” said Steve Ridolfi, president, Bombardier Business Aircraft.
Meanwhile, Bombardier also said it was strengthening its aftermarket service network for Challenger business aircraft customers in Latin America by increasing capabilities at its two prominent maintenance service providers in the region.
Aerovitro S.A. of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, has been named an authorized service facility for Challenger 300 and Challenger 604/605 aircraft, and Aviacion Atlantico Sur S.A. of Buenos Aires, Argentina has been appointed an aircraft-on-ground line maintenance facility for Challenger 604/605 aircraft.
Currently, 52 such service and line maintenance facilities cater to Bombardier’s business and commercial aircraft customers in 26 countries, with four serving Latin America. These are supported by nine Bombardier-owned service centres in North America and Europe.
Bombardier is the world’s third-largest aircraft manufacturer and largest maker of business jets. Together with its Transportation Division, the world’s largest train maker, the Quebec-based company has annual revenues near US$18 billion.
