BFGoodrich recalls 129,000 light truck tires

The company says approximately 6,400 of the recalled tires were sold in the Canadian market
LAVAL, Que.—BFGoodrich tires is recalling approximately 129,000 tires that were sold in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
These tires are primarily found on commercial light trucks, as well as full-sized heavy-duty vans, small RVs and some pick-up trucks.
Approximately 6,400 of the recalled tires were sold in the Canadian market.
This recall, which has been reported to Transport Canada, includes eight specific commercial light truck tire sizes that were produced under the following three product names: BFGoodrich Commercial T/A All-Season, BFGoodrich Commercial T/A All-Season 2 and BFGoodrich Rugged Terrain T/A.
BFGoodrich says that some tires “experienced a rapid loss of air pressure due to a rupture of the sidewall in the bead area under severe usage conditions,” potentially resulting in a loss of vehicle control or crash.
There have been no injuries or fatalities reported as a result of these flaws.

- BFGoodrich Commercial T/A All-Season 2, LT 275/70R18
- BFGoodrich Rugged Terrain T/A, LT 275/70R18
- BFGoodrich Rugged Terrain T/A, LT 275/65R18
- BFGoodrich Commercial T/A All-Season 2, LT 235/80R17
- BFGoodrich Commercial T/A All-Season 2, LT 265/70R17
- BFGoodrich Commercial T/A All-Season 2,LT 245/75R17
- BFGoodrich Commercial T/A All-Season 2, LT 245/70R17
BFGoodrich recommends users remove these tires as soon as possible in order to receive a similar product at no cost.
