Workplace accident claims life of Quebec worker

SAINT-MARIE, Que.—A 29-year-old man is dead following a workplace accident in Quebec.

Provincial police say the man was found unconscious and pinned under a hydraulic device while performing maintenance on the unit in Saint-Marie, south of Quebec City, on Wednesday evening.

Police spokeswoman Ann Mathieu says the unidentified man later died in hospital.

Police and the Quebec agency which probes workplace accidents are investigating the incident.
