Emergency crews were called to a R.J. Cyr Co. Inc. facility where a man was hit by a 500 kilogram steel beam

TECUMSEH, Ont.—The Ministry of Labour is investigating a fatal industrial accident near Windsor, Ont.

Police say they were called to the R.J. Cyr Company Inc. facility in Tecumseh on Nov. 16 and found a 51-year-old man who had been struck by a large steel beam.

They say the beam was reported to weigh more than 500 kilograms.

The man was taken to hospital, where he later died.

His name is not being released until his next of kin have been notified.
