Two Pemex workers dead following oil rig accident

Rig was manoeuvring to perform offshore well maintenance at the time of the accident
MEXICO CITY—Mexican state oil company Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex) says an accident on an oil platform has killed two workers in the Gulf of Mexico.
The company reported May 5 that the E. Troll Solution rig was manoeuvring to perform offshore well maintenance at the time of the accident.
It adds that 101 workers were removed from the E. Troll Solution for safety reasons.
Pemex said via Twitter that the rig was “listing” but had not sunk.
The accident comes just a month after another fiery accident on a different oil platform—the Abkatun-A Permanente—killed four workers, injured 16 and sent hundreds leaping into the see to escape the inferno.
