Man was working on the ground when the crane tipped

BRAMPTON, Ont.—Police say a man in his 40s has died after being pinned under a crane in Brampton, northwest of Toronto.

They say it happened shortly after noon near The Gore Road and Castlemore Drive.

Police say the man was working on the ground when the crane tipped over onto him. It’s unclear what caused the crane to topple.

Paramedics say he was pronounced dead at the scene.
