MONTREAL— Focused on technology entrepreneurship the International Startup Festival (Startupfest) will inform innovators, startups, investors and clients of the economics of innovation and new technology from around the globe.
Big names at this year’s event—which will be held July 11 to July 13—include Dan Bricklin, Paul Mockapetris, John Wood, Stowe Boyd, Dave McClure, Howard Lindzon and Craig Walker.
The event is focused on sectors like mobility, gaming, social networking as well as clean tech, education, healthcare and more.
Startupfest teamed up with the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, and will have original elevator pitches in an elevator; grandmother judges; and a host of other fun things to do—rare at most business conferences.
Startupfest is sponsored by Microsoft and will take place in the historic Old Port of Montreal at the Iberville Passenger Terminal on Pier Alexandra.
