New Flyer reaches tentative deal with workers at Minn. plant

Workers at bus maker's St. Cloud, Minn., facility set to vote on new four-year agreement
WINNIPEG—Canadian bus maker New Flyer Industries says workers at one of its U.S. plants are set to vote on a new collective bargaining agreement.
According to New Flyer, it has reached a tentative agreement with the Communications Workers of America, which represents workers at the bus maker’s St. Cloud, Minn., facility, on a tentative four-year agreement.
New Flyer says the tentative deal was reached prior to the current agreement expiring March 31.
Members will vote on the new agreement April 6.
According to New Flyer, the St. Cloud plant’s unionized workforce represents approximately 19 per cent of the firm’s total workforce in Canada and the U.S.
