Parker Hannafin Canada will provide pumps, hydraulic motors for LAV power and air conditioning
MILTON, Ont.—A Greater Toronto Area firm has been awarded a $3.04-million sub-contract for work on Canada’s light armoured vehicle (LAV) fleet, the Department of National Defence says.
Parker Hannafin Canada signed an agreement that will see the Milton, Ont.-based firm provide pumps and hydraulic motors for the LAV power and air conditioning systems.
Awarded by General Dynamics Land Systems Canada, the deal is part of a larger deal handed out in October 2011for the delivery of 550 upgraded LAVs.
The contract with General Land Systems Canada is worth $1.06-billion, plus an additional $151-million for an option to upgrade another 66 LAVs.
