REGINA—A new $10 million helium processing facility is going to be built in Saskatchewan’s southwest.

Weil Group Resources will use the facility to be located near Mankota, Sask. to provide refined, industrial-grade helium to markets throughout North America.

The plant will have a capacity to exceed 40 million cubic feet per year of production with the refined helium being loaded into tube trailers and transported to customers across North America.

Economy Minister Bill Boyd says this project will help re-develop an industry that has been inactive in Saskatchewan for almost 50 years.
