French aerospace company will manufacture keel beams at Quebec plant.
MIRABEL, QC—Mecachrome has won a contract from Aerolia to manufacture keel beams for Bombardier’s Global 7000 and Global 8000 business jets.
Financial details have not been released.
The Keel Beams will be produced at Mecachrome Canada’s Mirabel facility and will be delivered to Aerolia, who will install them on the center fuselage of each aircraft at its St-Nazaire facility. Mecachrome will design and manufacture keel beam for the life of the aircraft.
Based in France, Mecachrome designs, engineers, manufactures and assembles complex precision-engineered components for aircraft and automotive applications, including aerostructural and aircraft engine components, high-end automobile engine components and motor racing engines.
